In conjunction with the Nassau County Police Community Engagement and School Safety Initiative, the Port Washington Police and the Sands Point Police will be having police officers perform a Park, Walk and Talk on the opening school day starting on Wednesday September 5th. Police officers on patrol will be participating along with Police administrative and executive staff. PWPD and SPPD will be meeting and greeting the students and teachers at each school in their respective districts as they start off this new school year. Cooperation between the Port Washington Police, the Sands Point Police, and the Port Washington School District is paramount in keeping our children safe. We are proud to partner with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kathleen Mooney in this initiative.
