Jeffrey Morris was hired by the Port Washington Police District on April 7, 1986.

Throughout his career, he earned the following promotions:

Detective: November 1990
Sergeant: June 1994
Detective/Sgt: February 2002
Lieutenant: January 2003
Deputy Chief: May 2014
Asst. Chief: June 2016

Chief Morris is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy class #252.
