The Port Washington Police District regrets to announce that Port Washington Police Commissioner (Ret.) Robert W. Persons Jr. died peacefully at home on Tuesday, 18 July 2017 at the age of 91. Commissioner Persons served the Police District as Police Commissioner from 1997 – 2003. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM on August 19 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Port Washington.
